Lockton Companies in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Consultant to advise and manage client compensation programs, working with carriers, TPAs, and vendors to optimize outcomes.

You will build strong client relationships, analyze claim data, oversee program goals, and present clear recommendations. The role emphasizes service excellence, collaboration across departments, and ongoing professional development within a supportive, community-focused firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent insurance claim experience.
• Ability to evaluate property and casualty coverage and communicate it clearly.
• Strong interaction skills with business professionals at all levels.
• Knowledge of Third Party Administrators and carrier practices for claims.
• Experience evaluating claim reserving practices and ensuring accuracy.
• Excellent organization and time management to meet deadlines.
• Ability to use standard computer hardware/software with minimal instruction.
• Leadership, critical thinking, and negotiation to influence outcomes.
• Ability to communicate progress and performance to stakeholders.
• Compliance with Lockton ethical standards and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Lockton clients to attract/retain business.
• Advise on claim program goals and manage objectives to improve results.
• Communicate coverage and legal issues to influence outcomes on files.
• Analyze data to identify claim trends and measure program performance.
• Review TPA and carrier services and align with client programs.
• Coordinate with Loss Prevention and other departments for recommendations.
• Deliver clear, concise presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Support client satisfaction and deliver high-level service across teams.
• Participate in ongoing education and team/department meetings.
• Travel to client sites and manage business expenses responsibly.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications.
