Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to manage claims from intake to resolution, including negotiations and coordination with medical case managers. You will assess eligibility, establish reserves, and work toward timely, fair settlements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Workers' Compensation claim handling experience or completion of WC trainee program.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
• Solid knowledge of state workers' compensation laws and process.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims to determine compensability and reserves.
• Coordinate with Medical Case Manager on medical and indemnity positions.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority and pursue subrogation when appropriate.
• Maintain documentation and timely case progression to resolution.
