Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation claims professional to manage claims with lost time to conclusion, coordinating medical and indemnity actions and working toward timely return-to-work outcomes.

You will maintain detailed file documentation, collaborate with medical and legal resources, and negotiate settlements within authority, including Medicare Set Asides when appropriate.

Qualifications

• 2 years Workers' Compensation claim handling experience.
• Analytical thinking to identify issues and determine solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to present file resolutions to stakeholders.
• Negotiation skills to reach fair settlements.
• Knowledge of general insurance contracts and policy interpretation.
• Experience with state-specific WC programs and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, assess policy coverage and determine compensability.
• Establish and update reserves with documented rationale and actuarial considerations.
• Manage files with timely contact and proper documentation to resolve claims.
• Collaborate with medical and legal resources to pursue resolution opportunities.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority and coordinate Medicare Set Asides where applicable.
