Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation claims professional to manage low-to-moderate complexity files, coordinate medical and indemnity aspects, and push for timely resolutions. You will work alongside medical case managers and legal resources to optimize outcomes and ensure proper documentation.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and negotiation skills, the ability to assess coverage and reserves, and a commitment to returning injured workers to suitable duties.

Qualifications

• 2 years Workers' Compensation claim handling experience.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving能力 to assess issues and determine outcomes.
• Strong communication skills for clear written and verbal interactions with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, including assessing policy coverage and contacting insureds, injured workers, providers, and other parties to determine compensability.
• Establish and update reserves to reflect claim exposure and document rationale. Apply knowledge to determine causal relationships of medical conditions.
• Manage files with timely contact and proper documentation to achieve positive resolutions and return to work.
• Collaborate with internal medical and legal resources to pursue settlement opportunities and coordinate medical treatment.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority and understand when to utilize structured settlements or annuities as appropriate.
