About the Role:

We’re looking for a Workday Payroll Analyst with strong technical and functional experience to support a major Workday implementation project in a complex healthcare environment. This role will primarily focus on testing support (end-to-end, integration, and payroll parallel), with additional responsibilities around training content development and future state documentation.

This position requires someone who is self-directed, technically skilled, and detail-oriented, with the ability to collaborate well with others without stepping on toes in an already well-defined leadership structure. A solid understanding of how Workday Payroll works behind the scenes, along with strong Excel skills and experience using JIRA, is critical for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and execute end-to-end, integration, and payroll parallel testing for Workday Payroll.
• Conduct data validation, troubleshoot issues, and support catch-up transactions and integration testing.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure testing progress is tracked and clearly reported.
• Assist in the development of training materials and documentation for future state payroll processes.
• Use Excel to perform detailed data comparisons, calculations, and payroll result validations.
• Support JIRA-based test tracking, including writing and executing test cases, documenting issues, and validating fixes.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders while working independently to drive results.
• Be available for onsite work at least once per month, with remote support during standard business hours otherwise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2–4+ years of Workday Payroll experience, preferably in a healthcare or similarly complex enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Payroll testing, including parallel runs and integration validation
• Excel-based comparisons and calculations
• JIRA for test case management and tracking
• Strong understanding of Workday Payroll mechanics, including how calculations and integrations function.
• Some exposure to PeopleSoft a plus
• Excellent documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team without disrupting existing leadership dynamics.
