Job summary

Versant Media is seeking a Technical Lead, Core HR Systems to guide the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of key HR tools centered on Workday. You will lead on-prem and cloud-based integrations, build high-performing teams, and partner with Payroll, HR, Time, and Ops to ensure secure, scalable HR solutions that align with business priorities.

Qualifications

6+ years in software engineering with 3+ years leading medium to large delivery teams
4+ years as Workday developer with full implementation cycle of Workday HMC in senior lead capacity
Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors and Workday APIs
Experience architecting and deploying custom solutions with Workday Extend/Build Ecosystem
Strong data ingestion and integrations with Workday Prism and related tools
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps delivery models
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery for Core HR & Payroll initiatives
Oversee delivery planning and environment management for stable releases
Enforce DevOps practices, code quality, and automated testing
Partner with integration, data, and infrastructure teams for reliable data flows
Mentor and develop team members and manage budgets/resources
Provide governance and align HR/Payroll solutions with security and privacy requirements
