Job summary

Versant Media seeks a Technical Lead, Core HR Systems to lead the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of the core HR ecosystem centered on Workday. This hands-on leader will drive platform architecture, delivery, integrations, and operational excellence across teams.

You will collaborate with Payroll, HR, Time, Broadcast and Sports Operations, Product, Data & Analytics to ensure HR & Payroll solutions are well-architected, secure, and aligned to business priorities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years leading medium to large delivery teams (on/offshore).
• 4+ years of in-depth Workday experience with at least one full implementation cycle in HCM while in a senior lead developer role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday APIs using modern authentication.
• Experience architecting, developing, and deploying solutions with Workday Extend and/or the Workday Build ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Core HR & Payroll initiatives from design through build, test, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Oversee delivery, release planning, and environment management to ensure stable, predictable releases.
• Enforce best practices in DevOps, code quality, and automated testing.
