Job summary

Shaw University invites applications for an Assistant Women’s Bowling Coach to assist the Head Coach in operating a NCAA Division II program. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Coaching or operations experience at collegiate or competitive level.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach with daily operations of the women’s bowling program.
  • Conduct individual and group skill development workouts.
  • Assist with practice planning, film breakdown, and event preparation.
  • Support recruiting efforts in accordance with NCAA Division II rules.
  • Monitor and encourage academic success, personal growth, and student-athlete accountability.
  • Assist with team travel coordination, equipment management, and operational needs.
  • Drive university-issued vehicles for team travel and related activities.
  • Assist with organizing camps, clinics, community outreach events, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of NCAA and university policies and procedures.
  • Represent Shaw University positively within the athletic department.
