Winston-Salem State University is seeking a Part Time Assistant Softball Coach to support the NCAA Division II softball program. The role involves coaching, recruiting, and administrative support within an intercollegiate Athletics program focused on championships and student-athlete success.

The position works with the Head Softball Coach to develop athletes academically, athletically, and personally, contributing to a culture of excellence and accountability within the Athletics Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution plus at least one year of softball coaching experience at the NCAA Division I or II level or similar setting.
• Valid US Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Softball Coach with the management and administration of the softball program.
• Support the Head Softball Coach in implementing the policies, procedures, rules, and philosophies of WSSU, the CIAA, and the NCAA.
• Assist in maintaining a championship-level softball program that reflects the mission and values of Winston-Salem State University.
• Support the Head Coach in establishing and maintaining a positive, disciplined, competitive, and student-athlete-centered team culture.
• Assist with the day-to-day operations and administrative responsibilities of the softball program.
• Participate in team meetings, staff meetings, departmental activities, and other program-related activities as assigned.
• Assist with maintaining appropriate records and documentation related to the softball program.
