Job summary
Jacobs Solutions Inc. seeks a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a hybrid role across locations in the United States. The role provides technical leadership for DAS, LMR, Wi-Fi, Private LTE/5G, CBRS, and related wireless systems within data center projects.
You will lead design reviews, coordinate with BIM, and mentor engineers while working with Fortune 50 clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
- 10+/- years' experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems.
- Experience as technical lead or SME.
- Experience with reviewing RF/design tools (iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner).
- Experience with client interaction and RF system troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of NFPA/IFC/Carrier KPIs and FCC regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve wireless designs in iBwave and EDX.
- Provide technical leadership for wireless telecommunications designs.
- Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
- Coordinate with AHJs, Radio System Owners, and Carriers.
- Develop and maintain wireless design standards and best practices.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Mentor engineers and project leads on wireless systems.
