Job summary

Jobtailor in Illinois is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support the sales teams by consulting on customer needs and designing tailored wireless communication and API-enabled solutions that drive opportunity development.

You will deliver technical presentations and demonstrations, work hands-on with REST APIs and integration platforms, and partner with Product Architects and CX teams to configure, validate, and support integrations while maintaining up-to-date technical expertise.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM strongly preferred.
• 2–4 years experience in telecommunications, IT administration, network engineering, or API/systems integration roles with REST APIs and API testing tools, and a track record of solution sales.
• Technical Leadership.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Proficiency with business application software.
• Hands-on REST API concepts, testing tools, and integration architecture.
• Strategic leadership capability.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations.
• At least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support sales teams by consulting on customer needs and designing tailored wireless communication solutions to drive opportunity development
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations, including API and Technical Portal capabilities, to address customer inquiries and facilitate informed decision-making
• Design, test, and support API-enabled solutions, including hands-on configuration and validation, in partnership with Product Architects and CX teams
• Maintain and update technical expertise through training and certification in wireless technologies, API/integration frameworks, and industry developments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback, support special projects, and engage in market-level initiatives
• Assist with post-sale support activities including troubleshooting, escalation management, API/integration support, and customer training sessions
• Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
