Job summary

J.V. Manufacturing in Tennessee seeks an experienced Wire EDM machinist to set up and operate precision tooling, interpret engineering drawings, and adjust programs for optimal accuracy.

You will work with toolmakers and engineers to ensure project success, maintain equipment, and inspect parts with metrology tools to guarantee tight tolerances. This full‑time position offers competitive pay based on experience, a 15% shift differential, PTO, and opportunities for training and career advancement

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• Programming experience with Esprit or Mastercam.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Experience with tool & die, mold making, or precision machining is highly desirable.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Wire EDM machines to produce precision components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD data.
• Perform machine setups including fixturing, wire threading, and program adjustments.
• Monitor machining processes to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Collaborate with toolmakers, machinists, and engineers to ensure project success.
• Maintain equipment and keep work areas organized and safe.
