The Sunshine Mill in The Dalles, OR is hiring a Tasting Room Associate to create memorable guest experiences through engaging tastings and storytelling. You will guide visitors through our wine and beverage offerings, share our unique history, and ensure guests feel valued in a lively, hospitality-driven environment.

This paid role requires weekend availability, with shifts typically from 10am to 6pm, and occasional events that may run later.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality or food service experience required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to upsell and educate guests about offerings.
• Knowledge of food safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and guide them through tastings with enthusiasm.
• Share our story and offerings, including wine and non-alcoholic options.
• Educate guests on tasting notes, pairings, and product history.
• Serve beverages with proper technique and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with food prep for light boards and snacks.
• Support events and private tastings, including setup and cleanup.
• Collaborate with team to ensure a welcoming guest experience.
