Job summary

Crimson Wine Group in Dayton, Oregon is seeking an Assistant Tasting Room Manager to lead front-of-house operations and deliver a brand-defining guest experience. You will manage, develop, and mentor the hospitality team, turning business objectives into memorable wine and club sales.

This hands-on leader ensures flawless service, inventory controls, and daily logistics while empowering staff to tell our winery stories with excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of prior relevant retail tasting room or consumer-direct sales experience.
• Strong leadership, influence, and communication skills across levels.
• Strategic thinker with ability to drive results and initiatives.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for hiring, training, onboarding and supervising tasting room staff; set daily priorities.
• Create staff schedules, manage payroll/tips and ensure labor-cost balance with service.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and maintain confidentiality around VIP guests and data.
• Oversee tasting room operations, inventory, reservations, and event support.
• Ensure compliance with safety, cash controls, and company policies.
