Job summary

Jackson Family Wines in California is seeking an Assistant Sales Associate to support Account Sales Executives in key chain accounts within the Royal Division. You will help maintain shelf distribution, merchandise displays, and communicate pricing information to partners.

You will build relationships with store personnel, plan activities with District Manager, and partake in team meetings while developing wine knowledge and sales skills.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a current driver’s license; maintain auto insurance and a clean driving record.
• Available to work early morning hours, Monday to Friday.
• Transition into Account Executive role when opening becomes available, contingent on territory fit.
• Ability to travel within California up to 6 times per year for education and training.
• Able to repetitively lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform bending, squatting, climbing and twisting.
• Willing to reside within territory.

Responsibilities

• Assistant Sales Associate will support the Account Sales Executives in key chain accounts in assigned district.
• Maintain 100% shelf distribution of all authorized items and sell in new item distribution and DSD items.
• Communicate current pricing information and ensure accuracy on displays and in accounts.
• Build and merchandise displays, fill shelves and cold boxes, and maintain merchandising standards.
• Establish and maintain rapport with store managers and department managers.
• Prioritize and plan account activities by completing preplans and recaps to District Manager.
• Attend team meetings, review goals and develop execution plans.
• Carry company cell phone and POS materials in vehicle during work hours.
• Continue to develop wine knowledge, business acumen and sales skills.
• Other duties as assigned by Royal District or Region Manager.
