Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Systems Administrator (Windows) to provide customer support and technical assistance in a DoD NSWCDD environment at Dahlgren, VA. The role includes troubleshooting Windows 11 PCs, Office 365, and engineering software, with emphasis on security, accreditation, and incident/change management via ServiceNow.

Three-plus years of experience and DoD IA certification are required. A Top Secret clearance is necessary; salary ranges around $75k–$80k depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional IT experience.
• DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance Tech Level II certification (Security+ce, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security).
• Experience with Windows Active Directory.
• Familiarity with STIGs and RMF.
• LAN/WAN installation, maintenance and administration.
• Top Secret clearance capability is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions on installation, operation, configuration and usage of Windows-based software.
• Diagnose problems and provide solutions for hardware, software and network issues.
• Coordinate with ACAS, ISsO, and security procedures to maintain accreditation.
• Coordinate incident tickets and change requests via ServiceNow.
• Prepare monthly progress and status reports.
• Maintain data files and system configuration to ensure integrity.
• Assist in future IT needs and recommendations.
