Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an IT Cyber Security specialist with 6+ years of enterprise Windows Server experience. You will manage Windows Server across on-prem, Azure, and cloud environments, leveraging VMware, Ansible, and PowerShell for automation.

The role requires strong collaboration, security hardening, and incident resolution in ITIL-based operations. The position offers on-site work in Idaho with 24x7 support coverage, and a chance to contribute to DevSecOps initiatives across multiple cloud

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of enterprise IT experience.
• Experience with Windows Server in data center environments.
• Experience managing Windows in Azure and hybrid clouds.
• Experience with VMware-based infrastructure and virtualization.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with stakeholders to deliver operational solutions.
• Experience with Ansible and PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Experience maintaining Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, monitor, and maintain Windows Server OS in various environments.
• Manage file systems and storage; optimize performance.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability; tune OS.
• Support on-prem VMware workloads and migrate to Azure.
• Manage Windows Server in Azure and other clouds.
• Use Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud to maintain health and compliance.
• Configure AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO across hybrid environments.
• Harden systems per policies and accreditation requirements.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Manage domain users, permissions, and roles.
• Troubleshoot Tier 3 incidents; coordinate with customers/vendors.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell, Ansible; maintain repos in GitLab.
• Provide 24x7 support and on-call as required.
• Document changes and incidents using ITSM tools.
• Create knowledge transfer materials for continuity.
• Participate in Agile and DevSecOps initiatives.
