Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America's largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a Product Sales Manager to oversee a product line, develop strategic direction, and drive revenue growth. You will visit customers on job sites and coordinate with logistics, marketing, and purchasing to optimize sales efforts.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Management and five years of product sales experience, with strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management or related field.
• Five years product sales experience or equivalent.
• Experience selling to professional markets and knowledge of construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned product or product line to maximize revenues and profitability.
• Plans and manages sales efforts; oversees purchasing schedules.
• Visits customers on job sites to initiate sales and provide technical and customer support.
• Develops long-range product line strategy with sales and profitability objectives.
• Monitors inventory and coordinates purchase, receipt, delivery, and service/warranty activities.
• Delivers product presentations and training to sales force and customers.
• Collaborates with Logistics, Marketing, Purchasing and other support groups to optimize sales initiatives.
• Analyzes consumer trends and channel dynamics to maximize competitive edge.
• Drives value-added sales process and manages complex proposals with vendors and BFS business units.
