Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Spring Canyon wind Energy Center near Peetz, CO. You will perform routine maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment, including tower climbs and safety procedures.

The role requires basic mechanical/electrical skills, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a willingness to overtime during peak periods. Base pay is hourly with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• This role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Candidate must have basic mechanical/electrical technical background.
• Climb wind turbine towers and perform maintenance safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime. The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods.

Skills

High School Diploma or Equivalent

One year technical experience

Outdoor weather work

Climbing ladders

Able to lift 45 kg

Valid driver’s license

US work authorized
