Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician for the Camp Springs Energy Center in Snyder, TX. You will operate and maintain a 250.5 MW wind facility, climbing towers and performing mechanical/electrical maintenance on GE turbines.

The role is safety-sensitive with a 40-hour week plus overtime during peak periods. Base pay range is provided with 0–10% bonus potential and a health/retirement benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of technical experience or technical education.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights over 80 meters.
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 265 lbs (120 kg) excluding gear.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Safety sensitive position with drug testing before start.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine components.
• Troubleshoot faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak periods.
