Job summary

Invenergy seeks a Wind Technician for the Gunsight Mountain Wind Energy Center in Big Spring, TX. You will perform routine maintenance on GE wind turbines, climbing towers and diagnosing electrical/mechanical issues.

The role requires safety-conscious work outdoors, a minimum technical background, and the ability to lift 45 kg. Invenergy offers comprehensive benefits and a base hourly pay range of $29.49 to $49.97.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of mechanical/electrical technical experience or training.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
• Ability to lift/move up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Physical weight limit under 265 lbs (excluding gear).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety gear to inspect/repair.
• Troubleshoot faults and replace components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
