Job summary

Invenergy seeks a Wind Technician for the Gunsight Mountain Wind Energy Center in Big Spring, TX. You will operate and maintain GE 1.7-100 wind turbines, perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, and ensure safe, reliable power generation.

The role requires climbing towers daily, working outdoors in varied weather, and adhering to safety protocols; the site offers training and a strong safety culture with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year technical experience in mechanical/electrical fields preferred.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety gear to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults; repair/replacement of components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with potential overtime during peak maintenance periods.
