Job summary

Invenergy's Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA, seeks a Wind Technician to operate and maintain a 202.74 MW wind facility with GE 2.3 and 2.82 MW turbines. Safety-focused role includes climbing towers, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

The position requires outdoor work in all weather, height access, and a valid US work authorization. Base pay is hourly with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety gear to inspect, maintain or repair components.
• Troubleshoot faults and repair or replace components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with potential overtime during peak maintenance periods.
