Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician for the Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA to operate and maintain the facility. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines, ensuring reliable power generation.

The role requires outdoor work, tower climbing, and lifting up to 45 kg. A valid driver's license and US work authorization are required; this is a safety-sensitive position with potential overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• One year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders, and work at heights >80 m (250 ft).
• Ability to move and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding gear.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
