Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician for the Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA. You will operate and maintain the facility, perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines, and work a 40 hour week with possible overtime.

The role requires climbing towers, lifting up to 100 pounds, working outdoors in all weather, and a valid driver's license. Base pay is $29.49 to $49.97 per hour, with 0-10% bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

One year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders, and work at heights >80 meters.
Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding gear.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment.
Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety equipment to inspect, maintain or repair equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
Work a 40 hour week with potential overtime; schedule may vary during peak maintenance periods.
