Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician for the Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the wind energy facility, performing routine maintenance on GE turbines and related equipment, and ensuring a safe, efficient operation.

The role requires 1 year of technical experience and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather, climb towers, and handle heavy components. A valid driver’s license and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders, and work at heights over 80 meters (250 feet).
Ability to move up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs) excluding gear.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment.
Climb wind turbine towers daily in safety gear to inspect, maintain or repair equipment.
Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine components.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults and replace components as needed.
Maintain company tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
Work a 40-hour week with possible overtime during peak maintenance periods.
