Job summary

Invenergy LLC seeks a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment.

You will climb towers daily, work outdoors in varying weather, troubleshoot faults, and ensure safety. The role requires a year of technical experience or technical education, a valid driver's license, and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• One year of technical experience in mechanical/electrical work or equivalent education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders and heights over 80 meters.
• Ability to lift/move up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and exert effort as required.
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding gear.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, using safety equipment to inspect, maintain, or repair.
• Understand electrical/mechanical functions of wind turbine components and equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults and repair/replace components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with possible overtime during peak maintenance.
