Job summary

Avangrid Power is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to join our Woodstock, MN site. The role focuses on onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement for a wind-powered generation plant under the Plant Manager guidance.

The technician will read schematics, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform replacements per OEM specs, and conduct preventive maintenance. Some travel (10-15%) and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• One year college or technical school certificate; or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repair or replacement following OEM requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance per OEM manuals and support QA/QC duties.
• Travel to other sites as needed and support on-call requirements.
