Job summary

Avangrid Power seeks a Wind Turbine Technician to perform onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement at a wind generation plant.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and performing preventive maintenance per OEM manuals. Travel 10-15% may be required; overtime on holidays and weekends; competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• One year college or technical school certificate; or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and substation systems.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM manuals.
• Adhere to safety programs and internal controls.
• Travel 10–15% and work overtime as needed.
