Job summary

Avangrid Power is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to oversee onsite operations, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine equipment at our solar-powered generation plant. The role leads plant operations under the Plant Manager's direction and performs data collection and reporting for wind plant performance.

The position requires the ability to climb towers, work in varied weather, and travel to additional sites up to 10–15%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training welcome.
• 1 year college or technical certificate or wind industry training.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using schematics.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM manuals and safety programs.
• Record data and generate reports per wind plant requirements.
• Support construction walk-downs when needed.
• Travel to other sites up to 10–15% on short notice.
