Job summary

Avangrid Power is seeking to fill a Wind Turbine Technician opening in Woodstock, MN. The role oversees onsite operations, maintenance, and repairs of wind turbine equipment, reporting to the Plant Manager. Level will be determined by experience and education.

Requirements include the ability to climb towers, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues, and perform preventive maintenance per OEM manuals. The position offers benefits and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• One year college or technical certificate or wind industry training.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, occasionally 100 lbs.
• Willingness to travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and related systems.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components per OEM requirements.
• Comply with environmental health and safety programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM manuals.
• Prepare reports and data for wind plant reporting.
• Support construction in walkthroughs when applicable.
