Avangrid Power is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and related systems at our Sarita, TX site. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with plant efficiency and safety programs.

The role requires climbing turbines, lifting heavy items, and willingness to travel; preferred candidates have wind/solar plant experience and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifikationen

• One year college or technical school certificate; or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training; or equivalent.
• Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment.
• Advanced computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets, email, facility control, management and reporting systems.
• Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily to perform maintenance.
• Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Valid driver''s license.

Aufgaben

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and related infrastructure including substation, collection, and transmission systems.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems with variable pitch, variable speed control systems and components.
• Perform mechanical and electrical component repair or replacement of parts per manufacturers'' requirements.
• Comply with environmental health and safety programs and OEM maintenance manuals.
• Perform data collection and prepare reports for wind plant reporting requirements.
• Support construction in mechanical and commissioning walk-downs when applicable.
