Avangrid Power seeks a Wind Turbine Technician to operate and maintain wind turbine equipment, including related substations and transmission systems, at a Palm Springs site.

Role involves reading schematics, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing repairs per OEM manuals, and ensuring safety compliance while supporting preventive maintenance and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• One year college or technical school certificate; or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training; or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily to perform maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical component repairs or replacements per OEM manuals.
• Comply with environmental health and safety programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM manuals.
