Job summary

Avangrid Power seeks a Wind Turbine Technician I to operate, maintain, repair and replace equipment at its Hertford, North Carolina wind plant, reporting to the Plant Manager.

The role requires climbing towers up to 100 meters, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and documenting reports with 10–15% travel. A HS diploma or technical training is required, with wind training preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year college/technical certificate or wind industry training preferred.
• Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance following OEM manuals.
• Prepare reports and support QA/QC and commissioning activities.
• Assist with construction walk-downs if needed.
