Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician for the Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA. You will operate and maintain GE wind turbines, performing routine mechanical and electrical maintenance to ensure safe, reliable power generation.

The role requires outdoor work, climbing towers, and working at heights, with a 40-hour week plus overtime during peak periods. Base pay is hourly, with bonus eligibility described; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

One year technical experience in mechanical, electrical, etc.
Work outdoors in inclement weather; climb ladders to heights up to 250 ft
Lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Body weight limit 120 kg (265 lbs) excluding gear
Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and equipment
Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety gear to inspect and repair
Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine components
Troubleshoot faults; repair or replace components as needed
Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment
Work a 40-hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods
