Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a Tiger Team Technician I to support regional wind operations. The role involves turbine maintenance, safety compliance, and guiding the O&M team in day-to-day activities.

Travel up to 50% is required, with the ability to work independently or with a team at different sites. Candidates should have wind industry experience, relevant licenses or degrees, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in Wind or Mechanical field preferred.
• Journeyman or master electrician license is a plus.
• Global Wind Organization certification preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools is essential.
• Willingness to relocate within 1 hour of the site.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to various sites.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform turbine maintenance including bearing, pitch ram, gearbox and generator work.
• Lead or conduct tests on systems after maintenance or outages.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and maintain tools and equipment.
• Monitor maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions.
• Travel to wind farm sites and support multiple locations as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with O&M team.
