Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Tiger Team Technician I to support regional wind farm operations. The role includes turbine maintenance, generator bearing exchanges, gearbox work, and safety training. You will lead tests, manage tools, and travel up to 50% to various sites.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 4+ years in wind or related fields, and familiarity with hand tools. GWO certs are preferred, with relocation within an hour of the site encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Associate degree in Wind/Mechanical preferred or 2/4 year technical degree.
• GWO certificate preferred.
• Minimum 4 years wind, solar, or BESS experience.
• Willing to relocate within 1 hour of site.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform turbine maintenance including services, gearbox and bearing exchanges, and safety tasks.
• Climb wind towers and access turbines daily to perform maintenance.
• Lead acceptance and performance tests on systems following maintenance or outages.
• Ensure safety policies, equipment, and records are maintained.
• Travel up to 50% of the time as required.
• Coordinate with contractors and other O&M personnel.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in ready condition.
