Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Tiger Team Technician II to support regional wind farm operations. The role includes bearing exchanges, gearbox and pitch ram work, troubleshooting, and safety training, while maintaining tools and service records.

Expect to climb towers, perform maintenance on generators and gearboxes, and travel up to 50% to sites. Strong mechanical skills and teamwork are critical in delivering reliable wind energy across our operations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Wind Operations and/or Mechanical preferred.
Global Wind Organization certificate preferred.
Minimum 4 years experience in Wind, Solar, and BESS.
Journeyman or master electrician license encouraged.
Unrestricted driver license in good standing.
Willing to relocate within 1 hour drive of site.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Familiarity with safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform turbine maintenance including bearing, gearbox, pitch ram, and shaft bearing exchanges.
Lead safety and wind-farm related tasks as assigned.
Climb wind towers and access turbines to perform maintenance.
Monitor and supervise contractors, ensuring corrective actions when needed.
Conduct tests on systems post-maintenance or outages.
Travel up to 50% of the time and work independently or with a team.
Maintain records of service activities and equipment.
