Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is recruiting a Tiger Team Technician II for full-time, permanent employment in the wind energy sector. The role involves supporting regional operations, performing turbine maintenance such as bearing, pitch ram, and gearbox services, and ensuring safety compliance.

The candidate will lead tests, supervise contractor activities, and may travel up to 50% to various sites. A strong mechanical background and relevant certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Wind or Mechanical preferred; related technical degrees acceptable.
• GWO certificate preferred.
• Journeyman or master electrician license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure activities are performed safely per wind farm policies.
• Climb wind towers daily to perform maintenance tasks.
• Lead acceptance and performance tests on systems post-maintenance.
• Monitor contractors and ensure corrective actions as needed.
• Perform turbine maintenance including bearing and gearbox tasks.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
