Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Tiger Team Technician I for field-based wind farm maintenance and support. The role involves maintaining turbines, gearboxes, and related systems, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Travel up to 50% is required, and candidates should have a strong safety mindset and hands-on technical skills. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and 5 years in wind/solar/BESS, with preference for Wind School/Mechanical degrees or

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Unrestricted driver license in good standing.
• Associate degree in Wind School and/or Mechanical preferred.
• Global Wind Organization Certificate preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Wind, Solar, and BESS.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license in lieu of 2/4 year degree.

Responsibilities

• Assure activities are performed safely per site policies
• Pass fitness tests to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification
• Climb wind towers daily and access turbines to perform maintenance
• Lift and transport tools, equipment and materials to job site
• Monitor maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions
• Lead or conduct acceptance and performance tests after maintenance/outages
• Perform turbine maintenance including generator bearing, pitch ram, gearbox, shaft bearing exchange; perform software updates and troubleshooting
• Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
