Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Tiger Team Technician I to support regional wind farm operations. The role involves bearing exchanges, gearbox work, pitch ram exchanges, tower access, and preventive maintenance, with focus on safety and efficiency.

You'll train, document service activities, and travel up to 50% to sites within Illinois and beyond. A strong mechanical background and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Wind School and/or Mechanical preferred.
• Global Wind Organization Certificate preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Climb wind towers and access turbines for maintenance tasks.
• Operate and move tools and materials to job sites as needed.
• Lead or assist safety and performance tests after maintenance outages.
• Travel up to 50% to support multiple sites and crews.
