Longroad Energy is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support the Canadian Hills Wind Project, a 292 MW facility in Oklahoma. You will help oversee day-to-day wind farm operations, safety, and contractor management while coordinating with the Operations Manager to meet performance goals.

The role requires a few years of wind energy O&M experience, supervisory exposure, and strong collaboration with internal teams, regulators, and landowners. Travel to support business needs is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years of operations and maintenance experience at a wind or energy facility.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Experience with budgets, cost control, and work-order management.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work at heights and perform the essential physical functions, including climbing 300-foot wind turbines, lifting 50 lbs, and meeting safety-gear weight limits.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficient with office software; valid drivere2a0s license; 24/7 on-call availability.

Aufgaben

• Assist in day-to-day operations and maintenance of 73 turbines and related assets.
• Support all O&M activities including substation/high-voltage work and balance-of-plant tasks.
• Perform routine site inspections, document findings, and coordinate repairs to maintain reliability.
• Develop cost-effective programs to improve operations, maintenance, reliability, and turbine availability.
• Support safe and reliable wind farm operations, including oversight of site personnel and contractors, and assist with site procedures and policies.
• Lead and direct on-site contractors to meet safety, operational, and performance expectations.
• Lead by example to ensure compliance with Longroad's processes, policies, and Code of Conduct.
• Serve as Operations Managers backup during absences, ensuring continuity of operations.
• Support development, monitoring, and management of the sites operating budget and forecasts; track expenditures and control costs.
• Manage site contracts and warranties in line with company standards and interests.
• Support compliance with environmental and NERC/FERC requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with utilities, regulators, landowners, and community stakeholders.
• Partner with internal teams to align operational priorities and resolve issues.
• Complete additional projects as assigned by the Operations Manager.
