Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Local Operations Manager to lead the safe, efficient operation of a defined service area in the United States. You will manage Service Technicians, drive operational excellence, and ensure strong HSE performance while overseeing local financial results.

You will partner with customers to meet contractual commitments, optimize performance, and support new wind farm transitions. A background in engineering and leadership experience in wind energy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in wind energy or related industry preferred.
• Ability to manage remote/field-based teams is advantageous.
• Must meet safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead local service operations with focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Manage and develop technicians through hiring, onboarding, coaching, training, and performance management.
• Ensure readiness for new wind farm sites and seamless handovers from construction to operations.
• Drive HSE compliance and mitigate operational risks.
• Oversee local financial performance including P&L, budgets, CAPEX, and KPI management.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure contractual commitments are met.
• Monitor site performance and implement improvement plans.
• Coordinate resource planning, workforce capacity, equipment, and tooling needs.
• Lead readiness activities for new service contracts and wind farm transitions.
• Support service activity planning and scheduling.
