Madison Home International, based in Murray Hill, is seeking a Sales Assistant/Account Coordinator to support our wholesale accounts with major retailers. You will manage POs, ship windows, and vendor requirements, coordinating with production, logistics and customer service to ensure on-time deliveries.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in wholesale/vendor offices, direct retail account experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a wholesale, importer or vendor office role
• Direct experience servicing major retail accounts (e.g., TJX, Ross, Burlington, Target)
• Working knowledge of POs, ship windows, routing guides, chargebacks and vendor compliance
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
• Clear, professional writing to buyers and factories; high attention to order specs
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced showroom

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team in managing national retail accounts day to day.
• Be the main contact for buyers on sample requests, POs, ship windows and ship-date extensions.
• Track orders from PO to delivery with production, logistics and customer service teams.
• Translate retailer/vendor requirements into clear instructions for overseas factories (labeling, packaging, compliance).
• Build and maintain sales reports in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Prepare for buyer appointments and line reviews; keep showroom organized and current.
• Send regular status updates to the sales team on open orders, projects and deadlines.
