Job summary

Flanigan's Enterprises is seeking a hospitality-focused server to warmly welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals with precision. You will be responsible for entering orders into the POS, handling payments, and maintaining a high standard of service throughout shifts.

The role requires strong English communication, physical stamina to stand all shift, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Florida-specific vendor and food safety certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop frequently.
• Able to deliver plates and clear tables, up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program.
• Complete and pass food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders, guide and serve with attention to detail.
• Accurately write down orders and enter into POS promptly.
• Deliver orders to guests in a timely manner from kitchen/bar.
• Handle guest payments and ensure correct transactions with POS.
• Perform shift changes and assist with sidework.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
