Job description

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Supports fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed.
• Is knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answers guests’ questions verbally and clearly.
• Accurately writes down guests’ orders and enters them into the POS system in a timely manner.
• Retrieves food or drink orders from the kitchen or bar area and delivers them to guests promptly.
• Assesses guests’ demeanor and identifies when to summon a Manager.
• Collects guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensures transactions are correct using the POS efficiently, calculates, and delivers correct change to guests in a timely manner.
• Performs shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework.
• Restocks and maintains restroom cleanliness for guests.
• Can physically stand/walk 100% of the shift.
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently.
• Is able to deliver plates and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Has ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Has ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.
• Completes and passes the Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Completes and passes a food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Will work a five‑day work week.
