Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises in Florida is seeking friendly, guest-focused servers to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals with care. You will help create a warm dining experience by answering questions, suggesting specials, and guiding guests from seating to check-out.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk for 100% of shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Fluent in English; excellent communication with guests.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Assist with table upkeep and service flow.
• Know menu items and promotions; answer guest questions clearly.
• Enter orders into POS accurately and promptly.
• Deliver orders from kitchen/bar to guests on time.
• Assess guests and escalate to a Manager when needed.
• Process payments accurately using the POS.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and side work.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness.

Overview

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal – welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
