Qualifications

• Physically stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
• Lift up to 50 lbs to deliver plates and clear tables.
• Speak, read, and write English competently.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program certification.
• Complete food safety certification program.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies.
• Support maintaining table appearance and food running.
• Be knowledgeable about menus and answer guests’ questions.
• Accurately write down and enter guests’ orders.
• Retrieve food or drinks and deliver to guests.
• Assess guests’ demeanor and summon a Manager when needed.
• Collect payments and ensure transactions are correct.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and sidework.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness.

Job description

Overview

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal – welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
