Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking an enthusiastic server to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver food and beverages with accuracy and speed. You will work as part of a team to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities include learning the menu, running food, handling payments, and assisting with opening/closing duties while maintaining cleanliness and guest satisfaction on a busy shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk for the entire shift
• Able to reach, bend and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must speak, read and write English
• Must complete Florida Responsible Vendor program
• Must complete food safety certification

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies and training
• Assist coworkers to maintain table appearance and run food/drink as needed
• Know the menu and promos and answer guests' questions clearly
• Accurately take guests' orders and enter into POS system promptly
• Retrieve orders from kitchen/bar and deliver to guests promptly
• Assess guests' demeanor and call a manager when needed
• Process payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards) and provide correct change
• Handle shift changes, opening/closing duties, and sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
