Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is hiring servers to greet guests, take orders, and deliver meals in a fast-paced setting. You will learn promotions and specials, assist teammates, and ensure a smooth dining experience for all guests.

Qualifications

• Excellent English speaking, reading and writing
• Florida Responsible Vendor certification required

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with menu questions
• Take accurate orders and enter them into the POS system promptly
• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
• Ensure guests’ payments are processed correctly and change is accurate
• Maintain cleanliness and restocking of dining area and restrooms

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
